Lisa Bodkin

Lisa, married to Tim and mum to their son, Joshua, moved from Hailsham, England, to Minneapolis, USA, in 1998. What began as a two-year adventure soon became their permanent home.

Lisa has always been creative, with a love for painting and drawing from a young age. With no formal art training, she has simply continued to push through artistic barriers, developing her own style and finding her voice as an artist.

With more than thirty years of experience, Lisa has worked across many areas of art, including painting large-scale murals, illustrating greeting cards, and designing and creating sets for churches, conferences, and other events. Her passion for creating is expansive, and she especially loves encouraging others to discover and develop their own creativity.

Lisa currently teaches art and uses therapeutic art practices when working with adopted children and their families at Bien Aimé Farm in Loretto, Minnesota. Through art, she seeks to create opportunities for children to connect, grow in confidence, discover who they are, and experience the joy of being creative.

At the heart of Lisa's work is her faith. Her desire is for everything she creates to point back to the Creator, reminding her that God is the ultimate artist and that the creativity within her is a gift from Him. She hopes her artwork will reflect something of His beauty, imagination, and goodness.
